Meet the Pastor

On April 26, 2015, Ned Sutherland became the Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Russiaville. Pastor Sutherland previously served as a Senior Pastor in a church in West Bend, Wisconsin for 11 years. Then for 21 years Ned worked as a letter carrier in Lafayette, Indiana while serving as a lay-leader at Faith Church in Lafayette. Ned was a deacon, adult Sunday School teacher, member of the Faith Christian School board (a school of 600 k-12), as well as involved in counseling and mentoring numerous individuals and couples. Marilou taught English, Speech and Drama for 13 years in the High School at FCS. Marilou has taught children’s Sunday School for years at Faith Church. Ned brings to the church a strong Bible teaching background, and experience in counseling and mentoring young families. Marilou uses her teaching experience to help in the children’s ministries.

The former pastor, Patrick Kamm passed away in May of 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Missionary/Pastor Jim and Becky Storey served faithfully for a year helping the church in their search for a new Pastor. First Baptist Church is located on SR 26 and Cooper St. in Russiaville, Indiana.
